Amigos de Ozolco is a cooperative based in the small village of San Mateo Ozolco on the slopes of the active volcano Popocatépetl in the state of Puebla. For a decade now, they have prepared pinole and other blue corn foods such as tortilla chips.

Corn is grown using traditional farming techniques of intercropping called "milpa", ensuring that a wealth of corn variety is preserved year by year.
